Bukhari’s Book
Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah that he paid Al-Muqanna a visit during his illness and said, “I will not leave till he gets cupped, for I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, “There is healing in cupping.” Book 7, Volume 71, Hadith 600
Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas: The Prophet was cupped on his head for an ailment he was suffering from while he was in a state of Ihram, at a water place called Lahl Jamal. Ibn ‘Abbas further said: Allah s Apostle was cupped on his head for unilateral headache while he was in a state of Ihram. Book 7, Volume 71, Hadith 602
Narrated ‘Abdullah bin Buhaina: Allah’s Apostle was cupped on the middle of his head at Lahl Jamal on his way to Mecca while he was in a state of Ihram. Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas: Allah’s Apostle was cupped on his head. Book 7 , Volume 71 ,Hadith 601
Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah: I heard the Prophet saying, “If there is any good in your medicines, then it is in a gulp of honey, a cupping operation, or branding (cauterization), but I do not like to be (cauterized) branded. Book 7, Volume 71, Hadith 603

Muslim’s Book
Jabir reported that Umm Salama sought permission from Allah’s messenger (may Allah’s peace upon him) tor getting herself cupped. The Apostle of Allah (May peace be upon him) asked Abu Taiba to cup her. He (Jabir) said: I think he (Abu Taiba) was her faster brother or a young boy before entering upon the adolescent period. Book 26, Hadith 5469
Ibn ‘Abbas reported that Allah’s Apostle (May peace be upon him) got himself cupped and gave to the cupper his wages and he put the medicine in the nostril. Book 26, Hadith 5474
Ibn Buhaina reported that the Apostle of Allah (May peace be upon him) got himself cupped in the middle of his head on his way to Mecca. Book 7, Hadith 2741
Rumaid reported that Anas b. Malik (Allah be pleased with him) has asked about the earnings of a cupper. Then (the above-mentioned hadith was reported but with this addition) that he said: The best treatment which you get is cupping, or aloes wood and do not torture your children by pressing their uvula. Book 10, Hadith 3831
